Myeongdong
One thing consistent on my previous visits in Korea was I decided to stay in Myeongdong area.
Myeondong is one of the shopping district in Seoul and home of all cosmetic brands in Korea. Most stores opens at 10 AM but streets of Myeondong come to life at late afternoon til around 10 to 11 PM.
From Incheon Airport, you may ride bus number 6015 that will bring you straight to Myeongdong or if you are not carrying much luggage you may ride the train. Going to Incheon Airport from Myeondong is also convenient. There is bus stop near Hotel Skypark 3/ Nine Tree Hotel.
Things you can do in Myeongdong:
1. Visit Myeongdong Cathedral
On Sunday, you may want to attend the mass. There is an English Mass at 9 AM.
Direction:
a. From Myeongdong MRT Exit 8, walk for few meter and turn left, walk straight.
b. If you see this branch of Olive Young, turn right and walk straight. You can spot Myeongdong Cathedral on your right.
2. Visit N Seoul Tower.
3. Dine at some famous restaurant.
YG Republique, Loco Quan owned by Haha and Aori Ramen owned by Bigbang Seungri all have their branch in Myeongdong.
4. Shopping
5. Street food

Though I stayed in Myeongdong on all my visit, I stayed on different accommodation. My previous accommodations were Namsan Guesthouse 3, Zaza Backpackers and Hotel Skypark III. The first two places are a little bit tiring to reach, there are uphill roads you need to climb and it's a little bit walk to the airport bus stop especially when you're carrying your heavy luggage. However, if you are on a tight budget, I would recommend the first 2. If you choose convenience to MRT and Airport bus stop and you don't mind spending a little more, Hotel Skypark III would be a nice option. Myeondong Exit 9 is just outside the hotel and the Airport bus stop is just few steps away.
Good blog... you captured the atmosphere of Meyongdong well. Keep-up the good work.
