Seungri's Aori Ramen

Visiting Seoul soon? Are you into KPOP? A YG Stan? A fan of Bigbang? Or do you love Ramen?
If you answered mostly yes, I would recommend you to visit this Ramen restaurant in Korea, Aori Ramen.

Just a short background, Aori Ramen is owned by Bigbang member, Seungri. He started this business in Japan and recently opened branches in Korea. I lost count how many branches he has now in Korea and in Japan.

During my recent visit in Seoul, I decided to try out his restaurant. I am not a big fan of ramen. When I order a bowl of ramen I usually have leftover noodles. I belong to the group that enjoy more the broth/soup rather than the noodles itself. But when I was doing on my research, there were reviews that said that even if your not a fan of Seungri, the ramen is worth trying.

On my last travel, I decided to visit Aori Ramen's Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Design Market branch. Surprisingly the branch was small. I had to wait for few minutes to be seated. The receptionist/ waiter could not speak English but she was doing all her best through body movements. She succeeded on briefing us on where to place our things, how to order and eventually she gave us an English version of the order slip. After filling up the order slip, there's a bell to call a waiter. The order slip will be collected and your done.

This was my order slip, my order cost 9,000 Won for the ramen and 2,000 KRW for the additional meat. The waiting time was around 10 to 15 minutes.

The ramen looks so appetizing and yes it was good especially the barbecued meat. The 'basic' Secret recipe sauce was already a bit spicy for my taste. I wonder what more the 'spicy' and 'hot' level and luckily I changed mind the last second because I almost ordered a 'spicy' ramen. I enjoyed this ramen and finished it completely, not even leaving a drop of the broth and the noodles.

Because it was so good, I decided to eat again on Aori Ramen on my last day in Seoul. This time I was planning to visit the Myeongdong branch however while we were in Garosugil, I accidentally found another branch of Aori Ramen. The branch is much bigger than the DDP branch and the receptionist can speak English.

NOTE: I ordered Aori Ramen Lite because I really don't eat hard boiled egg with my Ramen

Direction for the Aori Ramen (Just for the 3 branches that I personally saw, there are still other branches in Seoul):
