Day Tour outside Seoul:  Nami Island Every time I visit South Korea, I always make sure to include Nami Island on my itinerary. My last three visits were during different seasons and I felt like Nami Island was different on these 3 occasions. If your a long time Korean drama fan, you might remember watching Winter Sonata. There are still some parts in the island that serves as memorabilia for the show. However, you can still enjoy the island without being a fan. There are a lot of things to do and eat at the island. It's also fun to take photos with the row of trees as background. You may also rent for a bike and roam around the island. July 2015 March 2016 November 2017 Petite France It was Running Man that made me visit this place. If you are a fan of Running Man, you might remember the episode with Taecyeon and Nichkhun (of 2PM) were having a name tag race against the members. That episode was taken at Petite France. Some scenes on Love from the St...

Myeongdong

One thing consistent on my previous visits in Korea was I decided to stay in Myeongdong area.  Myeondong is one of the shopping district in Seoul and home of all cosmetic brands in Korea. Most stores opens at 10 AM but streets of Myeondong come to life at late afternoon til around 10 to 11 PM.  From Incheon Airport, you may ride bus number 6015 that will bring you straight to Myeongdong or if you are not carrying much luggage you may ride the train. Going to Incheon Airport from Myeondong is also convenient. There is bus stop near Hotel Skypark 3/ Nine Tree Hotel.  Things you can do in Myeongdong:  1. Visit Myeongdong Cathedral On Sunday, you may want to attend the mass. There is an English Mass at 9 AM. Direction: a. From Myeongdong MRT Exit 8, walk for few meter and turn left, walk straight. b. If you see this branch of Olive Young, turn right and walk straight. You can spot Myeongdong Cathedral on your right.  2. Visit ...

Seungri's Aori Ramen

Visiting Seoul soon? Are you into KPOP? A YG Stan? A fan of Bigbang? Or do you love Ramen? If you answered mostly yes, I would recommend you to visit this Ramen restaurant in Korea, Aori Ramen. Just a short background, Aori Ramen is owned by Bigbang member, Seungri. He started this business in Japan and recently opened branches in Korea. I lost count how many branches he has now in Korea and in Japan. During my recent visit in Seoul, I decided to try out his restaurant. I am not a big fan of ramen. When I order a bowl of ramen I usually have leftover noodles. I belong to the group that enjoy more the broth/soup rather than the noodles itself. But when I was doing on my research, there were reviews that said that even if your not a fan of Seungri, the ramen is worth trying. On my last travel, I decided to visit Aori Ramen's Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Design Market branch. Surprisingly the branch was small. I had to wait for few minutes to be seated. The reception...
